My interest in fitness evolved out of my love for sports (specifically baseball). I grew up playing, but being overweight and weak didn’t lend very well a high level of performance (as you can imagine).

My first introduction to fitness was through a trainer named Rob. Rob took me under his wing and helped me get stronger as an athlete and more confident as a person. My baseball career came to a head when the pressure got to me as I entered my draft year. For a litany of reasons, I opted to start my professional life instead of entering the rigors of minor league baseball.

Given my passion for fitness, going to college was the right move. I completed my education and I started personal training at a ‘meathead’ gym in Etobicoke. I quickly outgrew this environment and wanted to see how the “big guys” were doing things so I started working for the biggest corporate gym in Canada. This is where my drive to become the best Personal Trainer possible began.

It was here that I met a trainer who just blew me out of the water. He made me realize how little I really knew. After working there for a only a few months, my competitive spirit was fully peaked. I couldn’t stand the idea that this guy could service his clients better than me. He had a clear passion for fitness. I began passionately pursuing any snippet of info that might be helpful to any client I had.

In late 2010, I decided to work for myself out of the Results Fitness Studio facility (now known as Sandbox Fitness). Shortly after I began splitting my time between this and my intern Strength and Conditioning Coach role with the Toronto Blue Jays. After the season I decided to focus more on my private business instead of affiliating with a sports franchise full-time. I went on to manage Results Fitness for a year and then decided that it was time to open my own facility. Soon after making this decision I was offered the opportunity to own Results Fitness Studio and as of July 15, 2013 I became the proud new owner.

I’ve now helped athletes to achieve the following accolades:

  • I’ve had 3 clients try out and make the roster within the Team Canada Hockey program
  • I helped an U16 Super G skier attain the #1 National ranking
  • I’ve helped multiple athletes achieve scholarships to play their sport in the NCAA
  • I’ve helped 2 athletes win multiple gold medals for the Canadian National Cheerleading Team
